Which (Kids) Fleece?

While we may have explained to all of our members about the benefits of layering, and of interactive zips (guides to both of which can be found here) we feel we should absolutely clarify to everyone the versatility of our fleeces and waterproof shells.

Whilst all of our 3in1s will come with designated fleeces, our I.A jackets do not, and can be matched with different fleeces depending on your needs.

Please find below our visual guide to which fleeces match with which jackets!

Hawk Jacket - Best Value

The kids Hawk jacket has just won Best Value in the Trail waterproofs review:

"The price is lower than most jackets in test, and there are some good features for the money. So you get a jacket made from Sprayway's Hydrodry fabric which offers good performance. There is a mesh lining for added comfort, and two hip pockets are provided as well. On this jacket unlike some others you get drawcords at the hem and Velcro adjustment at the cuff, so you can refine the fit as your child grows into it. The hood too has a volume adjuster and elastication around the face for a reasonable fit. It can also be rolled down and secured at the collar if not needed. the front zip has a single stormflap with press studs, and there is reflective piping on the front and back of the sleeves.

Verdict: A great price for a very practical jacket for outdoors action in the rain. 4/5

Trail - Kids Waterproof Review

Trail Magazine recently ran their review of kids jackets. Below is the Sprayway Hawk jacket review y Tomas McFarland - Aged 7.

"The jacket fitted well, and it was very comfortable to wear while climbing Tryfan. It was nice and loose so it gave me lots of room to move without the jacket riding up…”

“The sleeves were long but again this was great while stretching out on the climb up Tryfan. The cuffs, waist and hood are all adjustable. The jacket was 8-9 years and my mum said it was a good size for the age.”

“The hood on the jacket is not removable but it can be rolled up and secured with a tab...”

“The jacket was waterproof, so it kept me nice and dry. The zip had a flap over it with a button at the bottom to keep it secure so no water could get in. the material is nice and soft and I found it very comfortable. I think you could use the jacket at any time of the year. A fleece can be zipped into it, which I think is a great idea especially for the winter. On my trip up Tryfan the coat got very muddy, but it washed and dried in no time and looked brand new again."

Verdict:

"This is a great coat and my mum says it's excellent value for money. I looked cool on the hills, and stayed warm and dry. It would be even better if the hood stowed away in a zipped pocket."
